Looking to make the switch from trading through prop firms to funding my own account on Tradovate and trading my own capital. I like the risk settings Tradovate allows. I strictly day trade ES. I never carry an open position into close. Looking at margin requirements, initial margin for ES is $13K and day margin is $500. Yesterday there was a bug wherein they didn't take daylight savings into account, so if you tried to enter a trade after 3pm eastern, the system thought it was between 4 and 5pm and you needed full margin (e.g. $11k per ES contract).
