Hey everyone. I was considering playing a Horizon Walker Ranger for my next campaign as I love the concept of the subclass. I feel like, other than the amazing 11th level ability, the mechanics of the subclass don't really deliver the fantasy of a warrior manipulating the connection between planes to their benefit in a consistent way.
You could go ranger to level 5 with custom lineage (gunner) and sharpshooter to start 18 dex with a good use of bonus action dealing 1d8 + 1d12 + 1d4 + 4 assuming favored foe, planar warrior, and a musket (average of 18.5) at level 1 through 3. ...
