The pins can sheer off either resulting in loss of accesory drive or if its the reluctor, loss of oil pressure. When you build a duramax, you cut key ways into the snout and insert key stock to hold the damper ...Seal the opening around the nozzle at the fuel fill tube. -Splice in a electric/hand crank fuel pump of any kind temporarily. -Or use compressed air regulated to 10 psi and make a fitting on the fuel cap for a perfect seal. Pick up another fuel cap for cheap at your local parts store as a replacement.I recently pulled the cab off a 2012 lml, everything went back on the same as it came off except the truck won't start now. For the past week and a half, I've had my 2011 LML on my lift while I installed a CST 4" suspension lift. I drove the truck into the shop to put on the lift and it was running great. I didn't touch any electrical connections and wires (aside from disconnecting and then reconnecting the ABS wires to the hubs) during the entire install. Popped engine driver side fuse box open to poke around. Found issue with the "RUN/CRNK" relay, might be the cause.No start. You need injectors. When the fuel is cool it will make enough pressure to start. When the fuel gets hot it thins out and will not make pressure. Ramping up the pressure at idle will not tell you everything because there is little fuel demand and the pump is turning fast enough (idle rpm) to make pressure.Finally got the truck to fire and run. it takes 20-30 pumps to get the primer firm. it has no visible leaks around it and all the lines from it. when the motor is cool it fires right up. after running for 5-10 minutes and shut it off, it will no start. i have no codes either. Using a test light, check the small wire on the starter for power when the key is turned to start. If it has signal from the key every time then the problem is the starter.
