Jan 20, 2023 · First time posting. We have a 2018 CrossTrek. Lately, the check engine light turned on, along with all the other warning lights (RAB, eyesight, etc.). Nothing works. Plus, the engine shutters at low acceleration. My wife remove the gas cap and put it back on with one click past close. Then the light goes off and everything works as it should. This post is meant to help others quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues with their Subaru. I recently had the eyesight AND check engine light illuminate simultaneously. I cleaned off the rear camera and side mirrors sensors and verified the forward facing cameras were free of schmootz. I then drove the car for about 30 minutes. Also, here in winter if i use windshield washer sometimes still happens because water freezes. A couple of minutes of defroster fix problem.
