622. Oct 3, 2020. #1. I have had an opportunity to thoroughly RANGE test the CVA wolf. I'd like to give my final assessment after dealing with some issues. The overall construction. and look of this budget riffle is impressive. Everything is nice and tight and the seams are very tight. It looks sleek and modern the plastic used is not feel cheap.To me the difference in barrel length is a non-issue. For a few years, and many deers, i have been carrying a 23" barrel. It works good. However, in my opinion, the opening/closing latch on the Optima V2 is a way more better than the latch on the Wolf.
