I poured the fluid in the top of the diff housing removing the small plug in the side of the transmation to check the level.

Hi All, I have a Ford 3000 that has developed some hydraulic issues over the last couple of years. From the many threads I've read on this subject this is not an uncommon thing. We have owned this tractor for over 20 years. It doesn't do much work, gets the minimum of maintenance and unfortunately lives in the damp British outdoors.The 6000 I have has been a very good tractor. Yes the pump was juiced up, and it does have a nicer seat than the factory. I did install hydrostatic steering, but over all it is one stronger puller. Comfortable to drive and very quiet. The brakes are very excellent, as good as my 4020 of the same age.

Nov 10, 2020. #1. After many days of researching and experimenting, these are my recommendations for anyone with a stuck single stage clutch on a Ford 3000 tractor. This may save someone from having to split their tractor to fix it. Tie the clutch pedal in the full down position and leave it tied down throughout the process.
